Meet Me
Who Am I?
My name is Marcus, and I am a born and bred Herefordian. I have worked in the IT sector for 3 years (3 days ago!) and I currently work at a local FinTech company.
Why Have I Created This Site?
If you know me personally, you may be wondering why I’m bothering to do this, you may be thinking “why go through all the effort?”. The answer is in fact quite simple…I JUST WANT TO! It’s cool to have my own site. I mean, look at this cool stuff I can do, like this or what about this. Where else can I do such high-octane antics, the answer is NOWHERE…hehe.
I do quite like talking about my interests, even if the otherside isn’t listening. I plan to use this space to talk my career, what projects I’m working on and hopefully this summer more about the motorcycle tours I plan on taking, beginning with the NC500.
What I Like
Motorcycles
I have a deep love for the freedom felt when riding a motorcycle, and this quote which has been circulating social media recently I resonant with quite a lot.
‘Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul’.
I will bless you with with the opportunity of seeing my recently acquired 1991 Yamaha FJ1200.

3D Printing
I won’t bore you with the details here, I have not spent nearly enough time learning how to 3D CAD my own designs, so 99.999% of the prints I use for myself or for others are found on makerworld.
I still love 3D printing, the idea of being able to print a near replica part from someone across the world stuns me. I would like to spend some more time in the future learning, I have a project on the horizon with a 3D printed homelab stack. Look forward to it!
Tech
I mean, of course I like Tech. I believe in order to strive in the IT world you must have a craving for all things tech, I try my best to learn when I’m at home with my homelab which is currently spaghetti junction.
At the moment I self-host a basic stack of services, these being the following:
- Samba Share
- Portainer
- Immich
- Docmost
- Vanilla Minecraft Server
I will work on this further, but I’m currently holding out for funds so I can make a large shift in how my tech stack operates. Again, look forward to it.
Signing Off
I will not promise to keep this site up-to date, I tend to forget about most things I’ve started.
Thank you for spending the time to read this. Look forward to my maybe next post, thanks!
