Junior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Diving into my first infrastructure role, I have been hands-on from day one — deploying and managing proxy servers, standing up WSUS for patch management, and writing PowerShell scripts to automate Azure environment discovery and feed data into our source of truths. I have also built automation thats directly contributed to cost savings in the cloud. On top of that, I support software developers with pipeline deployments and have been carrying on-call responsibilities for the past two months — a real sign of the trust built up in a short space of time.

As one of two in the InfoSec department, I was the go-to for all things day-to-day cyber security — guiding client businesses through achieving Cyber Essentials certification, handling security incidents, and acting as an escalation point for our service desk engineers.
